Mrs. Burd completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2007 at Seton Hall University. After working in the business world for several years, Mrs. Burd decided to pursue a career change and enrolled in a Masters Education program at Fairleigh Dickinson University. She completed her student teaching at Hoboken High School in 2014 and began working at DePaul Catholic High School in January 2015.

Mrs. Burd currently teaches AP Environmental Science, Environmental Science, and Biology. Mrs. Burd decided to further pursue her education and enrolled in a Masters in Educational Leadership program at Montclair State University in June 2017. She is expected to complete her degree in May 2019.

Mrs. Burd became the Head Coach for Football Varsity Cheerleading in 2018 and is a moderator for the Science National Honor Society. Outside of school, Mrs. Burd enjoys traveling, shopping, food, going to the gym, listening to music, going to concerts, museums, and learning about different cultures.
